OK so I'm not expecting anyone to put their hand up to a secret twelve month stash. More interested in a film I remember seeing on TV as a kid with barrels buried in the woods that got found by someone else. Ring any bells?

I have enough food in my cupboard to last me 3 months easily. More of a greedy bastard than a prepper though.

I think the film had two station wagons, one green and one orange, but might be mixing it up with the Blues Brothers

There were definitely station wagons, I think, and the barrels were big and blue plastic. There was a tunnel through rock at the end.  It was quite harrowing, but on in the daytime as far as I recall.

The other question was, any preppers on here?

What is a prepper? Is it like a fluffer?

No idea on the movie, but I do have two or three weeks' worth of food and some water tucked away... for a minor event like a temporary transportation shutdown (e.g. due to major fuel supply issues) or other infrastructure failure that could disrupt supermarket deliveries for a week or two. I don't really see the point in prepping for an end-of-civilisation event - if it's really bad, you're not going to be ready unless you devote your life to establishing your setup, and even then... what's the ultimate point in surviving it?
