press for whatsapp, press for Peas,

It didn't make sense, but at least you gave Peas a chance.

Peas is the kid's nickname. She's a little diamond, been doing something this week I can't talk about but brimming with pride

Hmmm. A previously commented thought occurs. Think it was:

get over it snowflake

@pyro. Once again for those with a sense of humour bypass, it was said in jest. That's what the wink straight after (that you've failed to quote) was conveying.

For someone supposedly so concerned about tribalism you're doing a good job of trying to stir the pot here.

I suggest you review the names of the two forums, which care naught about your ‘view.’

I care not a jot about the names of the two sub forums. My point was that only around 6% of the threads on the front page were actually about cycling.
You could change the bike forum name to " absolutely 100% about cycling" and it still wouldn't make it so.

'The way the young communicate'  I watched someone on a commuter train the other day have a full on rant to someone by voice messages, seemed like a right palava to me.

A few years back I was working for a very well known ski holiday business.  Every winter we would interview and hire all the chalet 'maids' (male and female)  for the forthcoming winter season.  During their breaks they would all go and have lunch in our Apres Ski themed restaurant.  None of them talked to each other at all, they all sat there on mb phones, not saying a word to anyone.  I would have banned phones for the day if it was me.

I guess these doughnuts coming into the work place will help keep me gainfully employed until I am done

Try being called Adam, and thus the first name in everyones contacts.

You probably need a lifelong campaign to get everyone to call you by some other name starting with a letter much, much further on in the alphabet 🤔

Suck it up, Princess 😉

Voice notes are easier for me when I'm working so send them - can't type with greasy hands

Nothing to do with self importance

All to do with clarity, communication, and efficiency,

haven’t got voice access on my phone.

So you're fiddling with it illegally whilst driving? 😁

hey google / siri / cortana / mercedes etc should be straight-forward to set up in a modern car. What phone is it, how is it connected?

You could change the bike forum name to ” absolutely 100% about cycling” and it still wouldn’t make it so.

You can report off-topic threads and the mods will move them for you.

🤣 Leave Zinners alone.

This…. UAE.

Ah. Yes, that'll be expensive. £1/Mb on Smarty, other providers may vary.

Yeah, sod that.

Although I discovered that I can get an eSim from Nomad - 5Gb over 30 days for £15 which has worked well and less hassle and cheaper than getting a tourist SIM from Du at the airport.

(You just need to get it before leaving the UK as you can't get an eSim whilst in the UAE)

Exactly, just a case of using the right tool for the job.
