A few albums I have been really enjoying recently:

Mos Dub and Dub Kweli which you can get from here - http://www.maxtannone.com/projects/mosdub/ - bootleg remixes of Mos Def and Talib Kweli tracks made from lots of classic dub reggae tunes.

Also been enjoying Distant Relatives by Nas and Damian Marley - some of it is a bit cheesy but overall really good imo. Anyone got any more in a similar vein?

Was that under the name Reflection Eternal? Really liked some of that.

Oooh just noticed Nas and Damian Marley are doing a gig in Manchester next April!

Ooh will have a look at that FabricLive - there's some really funny videos of soundclashes with David Rodigan on youtube.

No bassspine, nowt to do with me - did used to put on and DJ at drum and bass/breaks nights though.

TSY - yup, great album.

Check the tracklisting.
The ultimate rap/MOR crossover album. 😯 Made me laugh anyway!

AWoL magazine..?

I used to have the hots for Blue.. never met her or even seen a photo.. she could just be a construct of a hairy biker journo's imagination for all I know.. I still loved her though

DezB - why so miserable? Need a hug? 🙂

basssspine - do you mean AWOL as in the old jungle/rave nights? If so nope I'm afraid not. Did used to DJ quite a lot of jungle/dnb round and about though.

If I remember correctly Grum was a cartoon strip in the now extinct Bikers magazine AWoL..

those were hazy days though so I may be completely wrong!

it was AWOL the bike rag I meant! I still have a stack in the loft, can't seem to get rid. I was really into the rat/survival/post-apocalypse bike thing in the eighties...

Incidentally, how does that stuff work legally. Obviously it's his music so he can put it up for free download, but if he's sampling artists I'm guessing he has to pay the record labels?

Pretty sure it's illegal but just tolerated. I doubt he's paying the record labels.
