A few albums I have been really enjoying recently:
Mos Dub and Dub Kweli which you can get from here - http://www.maxtannone.com/projects/mosdub/ - bootleg remixes of Mos Def and Talib Kweli tracks made from lots of classic dub reggae tunes.
Also been enjoying Distant Relatives by Nas and Damian Marley - some of it is a bit cheesy but overall really good imo. Anyone got any more in a similar vein?
Talib Kweli did good stuff with DJ Hi Tek
Was that under the name Reflection Eternal? Really liked some of that.
Oooh just noticed Nas and Damian Marley are doing a gig in Manchester next April!
I like reggae, ska, dub, music
Catching up on classic Prince Far I and other vintage stuff at the mo
cheers, grumm, I love the mos def dub, downloading kweli now.
ps, you anything to do with AWOL?
Mas Def & Talib Kwali are Black Star - One of the best hip-hop albums of all time.
Ooh will have a look at that FabricLive - there's some really funny videos of soundclashes with David Rodigan on youtube.
No bassspine, nowt to do with me - did used to put on and DJ at drum and bass/breaks nights though.
TSY - yup, great album.
If you like the rap/reggae crossover stuff, maybe you should try this

The ultimate rap/MOR crossover album. 😯 Made me laugh anyway!
grumm: even though I'm miserable, I'll share this with you - Jay-Z & Studio One reggae mashup album:
Thanks DezB, downloading now (you miserable ****er) 🙂
😥
ps, you anything to do with AWOL?
AWoL magazine..?
I used to have the hots for Blue.. never met her or even seen a photo.. she could just be a construct of a hairy biker journo's imagination for all I know.. I still loved her though
DezB - why so miserable? Need a hug? 🙂
basssspine - do you mean AWOL as in the old jungle/rave nights? If so nope I'm afraid not. Did used to DJ quite a lot of jungle/dnb round and about though.
If I remember correctly Grum was a cartoon strip in the now extinct Bikers magazine AWoL..
those were hazy days though so I may be completely wrong!
DezB - why so miserable? Need a hug
I listened to the new Radiohead album. 😥 😥
it was AWOL the bike rag I meant! I still have a stack in the loft, can't seem to get rid. I was really into the rat/survival/post-apocalypse bike thing in the eighties...

Might have to look at that, big fan of Mos Def and Talib Kweli.
Incidentally, how does that stuff work legally. Obviously it's his music so he can put it up for free download, but if he's sampling artists I'm guessing he has to pay the record labels?
Massive thanks for posting this, been listening to Jaydiohead pretty much nonstop since yesterday!
cheers, I'll check that out tonight, been getting back into Lee Scratch Perry this week. Tonight I'm going to dust off my 500 track Trojan boxset 8)
Incidentally, how does that stuff work legally.
Pretty sure it's illegal but just tolerated. I doubt he's paying the record labels.
