I think theres about 200 on the tree, all about 3" long sop far.

Any idea what I can do with them all. Last year we hardly had any, probably because I lopped a good few branches off but previous years, they've been mighty tasty.

Do a google for poached pears, you'll find lots of variation just depends what spices you have in the cupboard.

Also pear and gorgonzola are a bit of a classic combo, can't say I've tried it myself though.

Iv'e done this a few times with spare pears, needs a bit of cream or ice cream.

Peel em, stick em in a pot with a couple of bottles of red wine and some sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Boil and leave simmering for an hour. Serve hot or cold with thick cream or custard.

Poach pears in water with a. Little sugar and vanilla essence. Spoon off a little water after they are cooked and reduce . Melt some chocolate for sauce

I think they also make really good salads with blue cheese
