Seems like a lot of the Kryton household gadgets are dying over Xmas, so what's the recommendation? I'd like one with a rotary length dial and travel lock if possible, certainly one that you cant knock onto a shorter length whilst in use... ahem. Use is for a shorter 4mm or so beard.
Looking for £50 max really.
For a beard of that length, pretty much long stubble, anything from Remington, Philips, Braun, Panasonic and the like should do. I find it’s only when you get to a full and bushy beard that you start to see a difference in what they can do. Nip to your nearest TK Max and see what they have.
I use a Philips One Blade for my neck and tidying cheeks, sideburn to bald head interface. Comes with a travel case and selection of trimming tools. Could be good for 4mm or so. Blades last a good while too.
I don't use anything fancy, tbh, just one of these for detailing:

And one of these for the donkey work:

The gilette is good for traveling too, as it takes an AA battery which lasts for ages, so no charger to pack.
And I'm sporting a professional artisan craft ale beard!
This is what I use for my beard. Length varies between short (couple of cm) and Gandalf/Billy Gibbons. Has a stubble attachment tool too and has lasted years
