where's the mac at work, mac at home option? Or are we too niche a bunch for here?
That would be the "Mac" option then?
+1 scot
Mac.
This thread does prove something about Mac users then.....
When my PC is stable(record is 6 weeks without any crash) I prefer my PC but when it starts to give me BSOD I wish I had a Mac.
I think the crash is due to the graphic card driver. I have updated it recently so 4 weeks without BSOD now ... keeping my fingers crossed.
I know I might/will have a Mac in future but money is tight at the moment. 🙁
I bought a MacBook Pro for home use about 4 years ago.
In January I ought a MacBook Pro for my business and have now just ordered a iMac.
Nothing more to add.
That would be the "Mac" option then?
Yeah.... that would make sense. I blame my tiredness & sunburn...
I wish there was a "have a mac but wish I had a PC" button.
Apple stuff overhyped. Use both but I think pc is better.
I use both and prefer my mac, but too much work software is PC only so a nice new dual xeon workstation sits on my desk there. There's nothing wrong with PCs, I just prefer the build and design of macs, especially laptops, or desktops for home use where they'll not be confined to an office.
Reformatted my Mac and put Linux on there (actually used to be dual boot), since Apple decided the black macbook was no longer hip and shiny enough to be seen in $tarbuck$, and made it no longer updateable.
I assume "Something else / other" is (was) the correct option.
I have enough problems with Windows at work, so why do it to myself at home.
Macbook Pro at home for last 5 years. Only now feeling like it needs a speed boost.
Minimal time spent updating/faffing, pretty much seamless operation.
If I really want/need to run Windows, I can through bootcamp or Parallels.
Also works very well with iPad/iPhone (iTunes much better on a Mac IME)
iTunes [s]much better[/s] not quite as shit on a Mac IME
