Will I notice an upgrade from 6GB to 8GB (£56) or am I wasting my cash?

What do you use your PC for, and is it being limited by the RAM currently? Also, what OS?

2 x 2GB of ram but I'd have to remove 2gb (2x1GB) to fit it in.

Running Vista 64 bit

waste of money - if you don't have an SSD spend the £56 on that instead

you really will notice a difference then

I didn't realise how much the price of RAM has increased... My machine is running 2x4gb sticks of Corsair XMS3; cost me about £25 18 months ago - it's £50 now!
