He needs to stop making or releasing records, Wildwood album was great but what is that new dreary tune being played just now, next will be a duet with Barbara Streisand

Wildwood was 25 years ago! Ffs! I enjoyed Stanley Road and hated the next one. Occasionally listened to his stuff since then but struggle to really enjoy it. I have however listened to his new album and got very bored.

Saw him play at the Bristol Downs festival recently, he was great. Mind you, he did pretty much stick to his greatest hits.

Having watched weller from Leeds to Chicago over the years.  He has consistently written good music, all the while adapting to new styles and also his age.  He his now in his sixties, so therefore cannot be expected to leaping around the stage knocking out Peacock suit, changingman, from the floorboards up, brushed   Etc etc for two hours

the new music is reflective of life as it is today

He is only 60 but looks like 70 in that pic with Ronnie Wood, maybe 8 kids have taken their toll

Shout to the top is one of the finest pop tunes of all time.

His signature first solo album remains his finest work.

If you miss ‘The Jam’ Paul Weller follow Russell Hastings who performs all the Jam stuff with Bruce Foxton..... brilliant live gigs with some flawless Jam recitals

There, FTFY.

I liked The Jam, can’t say he’s done anything since that would entice me to buy an album, basically I’m indifferent.

The Jam were good. After that not only did he make shitty music he’s also, in my eyes, responsible for Oasis existing. That is a crime I can never forgive.

I, Er, I... I.. this is , you must understand... this is difficult... I agree with CountZero! There! It happened!

have to add, saw Weller do this 3/4 time dull as hell song thing on Later the other week - it was like Val Doonican or something my Gran would’ve listened to. Quite horrible.

Funny cos I had Going Underground earworm yesterday. Was singing it while riding up the shops.

ps. Love ya CZ 😘
