So I've been diagnosed with patellofemoral syndrome for both my knees.
Have been given a course of physiotherapy.
Has anyone here had this? And did it clear up with physio (or any other tips appreciated).
I've noted some threads from the past just wanted to see if there are any updates.
Yup, physio cleared it up.
Lots of 'sitting' against a wall, then doing the same with a gym ball behind my back.
Had it in my early 20s, caused by bad patellar tracking.
Learned how to tape the knee to get the kneecap to track properly and did lots of exercises to balance my legs out; the tracking issue caused by over-developed outer quads (whatever that muscle is called).
I also took a lot of glucosamine and chondroitin, but no idea if it was that or the exercises that helped long term...
Did you guys have it in both knees at the same time?
Might try out the patella taping too.
Cheers
Yes, but it was worse on the left.
Physio can show you the taping required (if it is needed).
I used to have a party trick with the kneecap floating all over the place. As my GF at the time said "GROSS".
