Booked an appointment for a passport renewal for tomorrow.
Was going to take the train and forgot all about the strikes.
Also forgot that the car tax and MOT was due 1st January so can't drive it.
So I need to to cancel the appointment to avoid losing the whole fee but I have not received the booking email.
Anyone have experience of how long that email takes to show up?
There is a helpline but they charge for it, so I am putting that off until later!
Is this for a quick renewal or for some other reason? Did mine by post last month and it took eleven days. Have you checked your junk/spam folder?

Checked all span/junk and nothing.
Phoned the helpline and they can't find it on the system, said might take a while to show up.
Money is showing as a transaction pending on my app.
I usually print to pdf when I get any confirmation screen, didn't bother this time.
From memory i think i got texts and emails fairly promptly (within an hour or so) right the way though the process. I submitted the info online then posted my old one to them.
