I was thinking it’s a bit shit at first, but now my wee is approaching boiling point  - what a bunch of pompous, entitled chinless hooray Henry’s, no wonder the country’s descended to the depths it has with this lot at the helm. We can’t rid of them soon enough!

The funeral where the guy came and made them move the chairs apart was a particularly awful moment, not seen that footage before.

I also couldn’t believe it, how one group of people could just keep having parties and get together with each other without being sick of the sight of each other…

I know in my job I love my workmates but there’s a strict home/work divide!

I would like to think the parties were embellished somewhat on the prog although the truthful reports were just damning…

Security guard going in to tell people to change to outside, or to turn the music down…. While we were all at home unable to even go out. Absolute cretins, how the f*** did they get away with such small fines when you had people just desperate for some social interaction getting slammed with £14k fines… where’s the justice there?
That I think is just absolutely disgusting and this prog should bring up more anger and have those fines and people in attendance much more heavily fined/dealt with.

It was the cuts between Downing Street party life and the Covid realism that shocked me the most… thank god someone spoke out as that was just abhorrent

We have short memories. Whilst I am really really grateful for those more politically aware and active than myself there's times that I get so lost and confused with the debates and I switch off.

It takes programs like this to remind me just how monumentally unjust and self-serving the Conservative government was and quite probably still is in my opinion.

was it just the conservatives though or was/is that Westminster culture?

undertones of oxbridge and privaledge in a few scenes.

I'm still angry and upset even though I've slept on it

and our government has completely blown the option of a lockdown ever again.  People just won't make the sacrifices if they know the rules don't apply equally to all.

Hmm doubt if attempting to pin a few £14k fines on Boris was likely to be career enhancing 🙂

BTW Don’t forget the quarter of a million quid in legal fees spaffed to defend his inability to detect parties 🙂

Good. Now we just need to them to do something that compromises the Online Safety Bill elements that also allow them to infringe on freedoms to be able to knock that on its head also.

I'm still pretty raw over the whole shit show and expect to be for some time. I won't be watching this but I am glad it's been made.

Incestuous hoorahs being incestuous hoorahs. Move along, nothing to see here. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.

Bite your tongue, vote Labour at the next election, then it won't be quite as bad.

My missus I think is luckily too focused about going back to work after one years maternity.

She’s NHS so worked all the way through it, horrendous! Came home, clothes off at the door straight for a shower before I got to see her. PPE existed of cagouls in summer for the Covid wards and people almost passing out from heat exhaustion.
It was pure hell for her and them, daily she’d be coming back to say “4 people died today” , “they lost 15 at the weekend”
Truly horrendous.
This party should have all just been sacked from running the country

Needs showing again the week before the next election. I'm not watching as boiling urine is not good for my BPH.

It was powerfully shocking. Made me so angry too, it was well put together - the cutting from the public to the parties was jarringly successful in making the point.

As previously said, it’s easy to forget and move on, which is what they wanted us to do, it’s important to remember just how bad they were…

I think it was only ever meant to be light entertainment with a touch of cynicism. Didn't particularly wind me up, apart from the atrocious acting. I fear the reality was much worse.

See I watched it and thought no, this is over dramatised. The parties can’t have been this full on each time, what got me the most too was wine time Friday…. And if the table meetings went like that then I’m stunned…. Nobody can think of anything? Never mind it’s 4:30 and WTF!

I do look forward to what is hopefully even more coverage from these events, mainly so we more get a scale as to what it was like. It’s easy for some wanting a quick Buck to elaborate the truth somewhat for a better story.
Surely it can’t have been like that… as some have said, definitely one to raise blood pressure

Got about halfway through and had to turn it off.

I know it's kind of supposed to be light entertainment, but it isn't, It's horrible. The bit where we go to sick and elderly dying alone, whilst these tory cnts partied. I cracked.

It's human thing, people forget and move on to the next problem. But I do hope they show this again closer to the GE.

i wonder if they'll do a chavgate at the other end of the spectrum, throw in some conspiracies ignoring any advise and then complaining when loved ones have died whilst blaming something else.

Not a comment on the show as I didn't see it but I can't imagine I'll ever feel like I am keen to watch anything related to covid in my whole lifetime. Feel like I've had a bellyful already having lived through it and just got zero motivation to re-visit it in fictional form of any kind really. I guess as time passes we'll see more of it in fiction though perhaps.
