You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hello,
Picking the brains on STW on holiday entitlement.
On my partner's second job, she is contracted to work 6 hours a week.
When she does additional days during the week at the same job to help her employer out is she entitled to accrue more holiday (still less than the 28 statutory days).
On a previous part time job I worked we would earn extra holiday hours (12% of hours) for any hours we had done above our contracted.
Had a look at ACAS and gov.uk but cannot find the answer.
Thanks
Jon
YOu have it right - holidays are accrued pro rata so it works out around 1 hr for every 13 worked for legal minimum IIRC. ( you can work it out for her contract)
So yes she should be given paid holiday for the extra hours worked
Yep, she is due an increase in holiday. It does depend on the contract how it accrues but essentially, working holiday should be calculated based around an average working week of the previous 12 weeks.
