Got a parkour floor that is in dire need of some TLC. Basically just sanding, staining and a few minor repairs. I am trepidatious about doing it myself because I can't afford to balls it up. Are there any non-experts on here who have done this or can you recommend somebody who can in the north west?
Now that is a potentially interesting floor. Got a video of it in action?
As above, a photo of the parlour floor would be a good idea. Some Parakeet floors can be sorted with just a quick sand, but for others it's a bit more of a jump in difficulty.

Its a horrible dusty mucky job to do, dust will get everywhere, you'll get random exploding sanding sheets, you WILL scuff the floor at some point. Far far far better to pay someone to do the job.
Oh and use a hard wax oil rather than varnish when you're finishing.
My brother had his done professionally and it looked spectacular and didn't cost too much. I can't imagine a DIY job being as good.
Muchos lolz at Maccruiskeen work.
ill get a picture later but its quite a natural finish, when i look at tutorials on youtube they all appear to be sanding an inch of resin off the top like the old primary school hall floor! i like to be able to see and feel the wood, and there still be proper cracks between the pieces...
i am happy to pay someone, just dunno who or an idea of what a reasonable price looks like. its about 40m2.
