Some devil has reversed onto the van and it seems like they've damaged one of the parking sensors.
It's a VW T5, 2008.
Have found some online that look like the one I have, but prices vary wildly.
Can I get away with replacing just the one or will the computer thingy spit its dummy?
It's just an ultrasonic sensor so I wouldn't have thought that the ECU would be that bothered as long as it's there and working - but I'm frequently wrong!
Just buy a cheap set of ebay... I got a full kit for £7.99 - just use one of the sensors from that, they're pretty much all the same

This is the thing I'm looking at.
It's already got the gubbins on the arse of it to plug it in.
I retro fitted sensors to a 66 plate (not VW though).
I needed to replace rear control unit, purchase the required partial loom and get sensors and housings etc. I had to get the car programmed to accept the new rear control unit.
I picked a set of colour coded sensors off ebay for less than 1 new unit without colour which was a bonus and they all worked.
I would think in your case you should just be able to plug and play with a new sensor and it wont affect any control units as they are already set up.
The VW/Audi sensor I found at the side of the road looks exactly like the ones I fitted so I reckon they will work in the same way. Good luck.
If the sensors are factory fitted you’ll need the correct one, I’ve got one that never got round to fit before moving my t5 on, brand new painted silver
