Bitterbeck Car Park in particular. A few of us are up there for a weekend and i'm trying to get my head around the parking fees. You can pay for the full 12 hours, then its £1 overnight ending at 7am. Do you have to then get up before 7am and renew the next day each time?? Or can you just pay the full weekend and the £1 overnight charge is correctly factored in?

I would expect the machine to sort it out for you, i.e. most ticket machines if you buy a few hours on an evening that go past the end of charges time, the "spare" time rolls over into the next days charge period.

Try the Ringo (or other parking) app and just tell it when you want to arrive and leave. It should tell you the price before you click pay. Council website will tell which parking app.

That car park is tiny, good luck getting a space.

I've become a big fan of the JustPark app - paying to park on someone's driveway etc. Generally it's not terribly expensive and it's nice to be sure of having somewhere to park when you arrive.
