I came out of the house this morning to find a white flatbed truck blocking my wife in our close, had she fully mounted the pavement and done a 50 point turn she could have got out eventually

I had never seen this van before so guessed they where working on the estate or in the park so I decided to call the mobile number on the side of the van

I asked the person that answered if in the next 30mins they could back up a yard so my wife could exit easier but was told by the person on the phone that it was not his van and he would contact the driver

I left to do my business, and after 20 minutes I had a bad feeling and decided to return home to see if the van had moved and was confronted by a super irrate driver screaming and shouting and calling me all the names under the sun, blaming me for making his life difficult and causing him aggro at work and being really aggressive towards me

I'm a bit worried what may happen to my cars after dark or worse if he confronts my wife whilst I'm not there

Was I unreasonable to think that backing up your truck to allow a neighbour out is a natural human action

The weird thing is he told me he has lived there 4 years and I have never seen him before

Translated as he was supposed to be at work at the time you grassed him up to his employer, and they now know he was lying in his bed. 😆

police, then if you're feeling really awkward give the DVLA a ring to check out operators licenses tax etc..

Alternatively go back tonight, apologise for causing any problems at work but point out that blocking the road with a bloody great van was a twuntish thing to do and you'd appreciate him not doing it again.

As above make a note of all the vehicle details and inform the police.

As it stands his behaviour towards you probably already constitutes a public order offence as he's caused you alarm, distress or harassment.

Did you wee your knickers?

Seriously though in these situations you're better off listening to his nonsense then punching him square on the chin, no advance warning, whack. Then smash his lorry up as he lays there unconscious.

Why get all wound up?

Thank you for all the constructive replies

Tried to reason with him and apologised for any problems caused with his boss, but he wasn't having any of it

Will see what happens tomorrow

Napalm his van when it's been moved. Maybe a car bomb. Or a drone strike.

He shouldn't park across people's drives. There's only one person to blame for this.

If he's a self employed tradesman, I don't suppose there's any point in phoning the number again to complain to his boss - you may just have been speaking to whoever answers the phone (wife / girlfriend?).

But if you suspect he has a boss, get straight back on the phone to them and let them know how their employee responds to a reasonable request.

I leave the number of a sex chat line on the dash, for when i need to very occasionally park illegally to unload, having someone talk dirty to you does seem to bring a joyfulness to the situation for the ones who complain and ring the number.

+1. Are you really that pathologically terrified of anything that could be remotely regarded as a confrontation? That you feel the need to use big men in uniform as some kind of surrogate parent? You're probably a therapists dream. MTFU!

Sell your house.

It's the only way.

Your life is over.

You could try and offer him your balls as a token of peace. Doesn't sound like you ever really use them.

I hope someone reading this thread is not calling the feds on me now for saying balls 😯

60 cars where targeted at Frodsham a few weeks ago, all had their tyres slashed for what ever reason, on the same street as the main police station.

There are some out there who bear a grudge for meanial reasons.

Perhaps teach your wife to reverse park or move.

There's a lot of this about unfortunately- people behave like kn0bs and then feel hard done by when it comes back to them. Pretty childish IMO.

Anyway, if anything happens with your cars you'll know where to direct the Police won't you?

It may surprise you to hear that non-bedwetters tend not to spend their time endlessly worrying about trivial altercations, and are far more likely to have forgotten about in about ten minutes, rather than plotting some kind of elaborate revenge.

Do you ever sleep at night? Or is the world too full of potential hazards to allow for that?
