Suddenly dawned on me that we could go and watch this tomorrow!
Currently in Annecy after a ski trip. Ferry home is booked for Monday morning. We're in our motorhome, any suggestions as to where to head? Obviously very last minute so I assume that all of the decent spots will now be taken....
Somewhere drivable from the velodrome, so you can go watch the finish, too. 🙂
I'd go for the Arenberg personally...great atmosphere and usually been easy to park in my experience - on the D40 just off the A23 around here https://goo.gl/maps/GPvUZFnfGLU1E1NXA . You can chance your arm with a couple of later sectors too - pretty easy to get to the Carrefour in time here https://goo.gl/maps/9kk1jjmNvHBzERFB8 or here https://goo.gl/maps/9mF9pJWGKDwQanhT7
We did it in c2011 and watched 2 sections of cobbles before driving to the Velodrome and watching the finish, a great day out.

it depends a little on if you are intending on watching the race on your phone until they come by or if you want a big screen. If you want to watch on your phone then you might want to avoid the super busy areas like the arenberg as connectivity can be poor. You may be better walking into one of the earlier cobbled sections then driving out to a bar to watch the finish :). When it gets busy the atmosphere at these races is fantastic though but you don't see quite as much.
