I got a tracking number for ParcelForce for their 48-hour large parcel service (it's the new bike I'm waiting for).

That was on Saturday.

It is now Monday, and when I follow the link to track, it doesn't tell me anything other than 'advised'.

What the hell does that mean?!? That having now told me they have the parcel, they're now sitting around drinking coffee?

And shouldn't 48-hour service mean that it is with me by at least tonight? In which case, why does the tracking not tell me it is 'out for delivery' or whatever?

It's been just under a week. I can't WAIT ANY LONGER!!!

Advised normally means that they have been told there is a parcel to pick up by the sender.

Does the 48hrs include the weekend? Not many do.

it might be picked up today. they'll lose it for most of the week and it'll turn up in pieces next thursday.

I would suggest contacting the supplier who you are buying the bike from. - 'advised' to me would mean it has not yet been collected by ParcelForce so cannot give you any more information.

Also 48Hr does not usually include weekends, so I would think the 48Hrs starts from today. - But check with the supplier.

Advised means that the person sending it has booked the collection, so assume they booked the collection on Saturday. That probably means it will be collected today and delivered within 48 hours.

Your parcel will most likely arrive on Weds.

I hope you can find the strength to deal with this crushing blow.

and not at your house either...it'll be a neighbour or someone on the next street who'll deny receiving it

Yeah advised means the barcode has been printed and stuck on the parcel and it's waiting in despatch for Parcel Force to collect it

The tracking will be updated tonight/early am

Literally just had a bike pod dropped off to send my bike back (again) to crc in. He couldn't find the address apparently so I got on the phone to moan. The actual customer service is reasonable and you get through quick, make sure you talk to the delivering depot
Just pray it doesn't come like this
