Hi, Anyone with any comments on how the Paramo or Quito size up(down)?
I'm a 'normal' Medium so probably looking at a Medium, but owners views would be helpful as I'm looking to order online.
Thanks.
Stu.
I've a Quito, am large, wear large.
I bought a quito earlier in the year, send it straight back. The general cut is boxy and short, and the liner seemed to be for a different size than the outer.
MSP, that doesn't sound good. Did it seem like a 'one off', I've not heard too many bad things about them?
I've been thinking about getting one for a while now - think I'll do a little more research to see whether there are other negative comments out there.
I picked up a Quito in a go-outdoor sale earlier in the year. I am 5ft10, mr average and I picked up a medium in line with their sizing recommendation i seem to remember.
Unsurprisingly the outer material is so soft it hangs slightly differently to having a stiffer jacket. This does make it very comfortable. It is warmer than a normal jacket but you just need to have less on than you would have done previously. I am very happy with it.
It is not skin tight but that is fine with me as I am no racing whippet.
I have a different Paramo jacket but their cut is very similar. It has occurred to me that with some rigging and a decent tailwind a few Strava segments are mine for the taking.
Got a few paramo jackets. I'm an XL and Paramos are bang on. Not slim fitting though which is why I like them. The newer stuff is a more 'athletic' fit but still more generous than Rab.
That last post brings back memories of living in the Boro...not all good ones I hasten to add!
What is that? It's calorific and all the better for it - I need one of those
