or do you find them "tacky" ? I always found them, well, all a bit naff..... came across this antique Japanese watercolour from 1870

and I still thinks it's naff, obviously there are levels of naffness and this isn't the most naff... Would you hang it on your wall ?

Love a tiger painting.

Not keen on that one though. Looks anguished

I have always liked Henri Roussaeu's paintings of tigers.

Really cheesy and up there with animal statues. My mother once bought me a fairly large bear statue as a birthday present and I have no idea why. Once I’d pimped it out with a hat and saxophone it looked good.

They’re only good for going on fleeces particularly Eddiebaby's example.

I like to see paintings of them playing poker whilst wearing hats.

I think Tigers are about the most beautiful thing in the world, but it's a no to paintings for me, they always look like they should be a 'air brushed' sticker on the back of a clapped out old 4X4 or something.

Also, they kind of need to be moving to 'do it' for me.

It wasn't my first thought*...... but now you mention it.

* wierdly my first thought was Peter Crouch**. It looks like you've done one of those merge things from Peter Crouch into a lion or vice-versa and stopped it half way.

** not Peter Crouch's cum-face though. I've never seen that, and I'm desperately trying to not imagine it. I'm sure Abbi has though.

Would love to see a tiger in the wild, but paintings etc do tend to be a bit tacky. Am sure there are exceptions though, and anyway, each to their own.

is this the right place to post the old Shrewsbury Town logo?

They changed it to this in about 2007, and kept it for about 8 years, despite everyone telling them it looks like the lion is watching its house burn down.

which it does! 😆

I hope that lion mauled both of them. Detest trophy hunting, it’s absurd. Want to pit yourself against a lion? Then use a couple of knives cello taped to your hands and feet then go to to toe if you must. Cowards.

Well known Internet spoof, pity it wasn't true. Trophy hunters should be a manslaughter charge.

😀 no I wanted that one to have a flesh wound and Barry (the other one) to exact sweet revenge on the humans that inflicted it on his mate Jeff.

I love this painting by Goya; last time I saw it, it was in the Prado in Madrid. Sorry, not really a lion but close.
