Hi all. Someone has asked me if it's possible to paint their melamine kitchen cupboards to smarten them up. Has anyone used the Dulux or Crown cupboard paint to a satisfactory result or are there better paints/methods available?
Many thanks.

A 650 x 450 Vinyl door from these people costs me £16 plus VAT. An extra 50p for each hinge hole drilled and they make them to the size you order, accurate to the millimetre.

A massive choice of styles and colours and textures. From 115 x 296 up to 2400 x 996.

Better and cheaper than paint.

I've painted wooden doors & drawer fronts (beware polyeurethane varnish) but I wouldn't do melamine.

I think in the end there is no subject that hasn't been discussed here. Maybe that's a challenge

Yes, I may have primed them, I can't remember.

Big John appears to use very expensive paint.

It's not the paint (except the poly primer) it's the time.

Use a simulated mohair roller & they should come out ok.
