I've splattered an unholy amount of white emulsion paint on a wood parquet floor. Is it plain old hot soapy water, or is there some magic formula that will lift it straight off?

warm water, quicker you do it the better.

if the floor's in reasonable nick it'll lift off.

My Friday night is shaping up to be a hottie.

yeah the process is.... call your home insurance company (providing your do have accidental damage option)..... get beer from fridge.... open beer.

Jekkyl - crikey I don't think it'll come to that. Worst case scenario is I'll turn the electric sander on.

The problem is it doesn't look "all white", it looks like a 15 year old's bed sheet. Ah well, it's not proper DIY unless you cause your self more hassle / expense is it.
