Bashed and cut my knee tonight 🙁
Already taken my Ibuprofen and understand I can also take Paracetamol at the same time (should I leave a gap), but is co-codamol a goer as well (to take with Ibuprofen) instead of the paracetamol, or will the codeine spin me out?
Brufen is an NSAID (anti-inflammatory), not an analgesic ("pain killer"). It should be fine. You don't want to take paracetamol as well though, as cocodamol has paracetamol in it.
As Cougar says, the cocodomal will have paracetamol in it, so be careful about how much you are taking in a set period, like 24 hours.
Cocodomol: codeine phosphate and paracetamol
So don't mix with paracetamol. Surprisingly low overdoses of paracetamol taken regularly can be dangerous.
In adults, single doses above 10 grams or 200 mg/kg of bodyweight, whichever is lower, have a reasonable likelihood of causing toxicity. In adults, a dose of 6 grams a day over the preceding 48 hours could potentially lead to toxicity

There was an article on the BBC news website that highlighted the same problem quite recently.
Personally, I need to be aware of it because paracetomol really helps me out with the aches and pains.
Paracetamol and Ibuprofen are a really effective combination. Add codeine if required - in triplicate they're about as good as oral morphine.
Aye, when it comes to paracetamol take care; I cared for a girl on ICU with liver failure who'd taken 12 tablets, 50 pence in the corner shop.
Several EU countries include Acetylcysteine (the antidote to liver toxicity) in their over the counter paracetamol but then drug companies in the UK wouldn't make so much profit.

This has worried me for a while. Just not enought to stop - yet
