You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Afternoon,
I've spent most of this morning looking for software that can produce a "page turn" effect that will work on an iPad i.e. not Flash related.
Ideally it will be able to take a pdf or doc and convert it, the boss has had a brilliant idea and wants his sectary to be able to produce these documents then he can view them at his leisure.
If anyone can suggest something that works it will be a start.
Thanks
Find out what e-books are saved in and use the built in Book reader
Most of the ebook reader apps (iBooks, Stanza, Kindle etc) can read PDFs and do some kind of page turn/flip effect.
I thought some of the free book readers take PDFs...
Cheers Mr Wright, he'll not be able to be "dynamic" with a printer and finger.
So does he need to download an app to read his PDF's in a visually appealing way?
if I open a PDF doc on my iphone - there is an option to view it in iBooks
then a finger swipe is enough to move to the next page - it doesn't do a page turn effect as such, but I don't see why that would be at all important
You could store the docs on Dropbox for easy access (the dropbox app gives the option to view in iBooks)
ibooks reads pdfs and lets you flick between pages. No flip effect though (thankfully).
iBooks should be built-in I think, as it is Apples own.
Stanza is a free download from the app store.
Thanks for the advice, I've got something else to go at now, unfortunatly the page flip effect is important, I'm not sure why it just is...
