The team are in Scotland. A little dusting of snow has fallen already. Can't wait.

In the future? He was in Bristol this weekend picking up another couple of awards 😊

Chris Packham was on the radio this morning talking about feeding our garden birds.
Buy the best food you can afford (we always use sunflower hearts grown in UK).
Clean out the feeder often with warm soapy water.
Let feeders dry before refilling. (Don't over fill if they aren't getting emptied in a day).

We use RSPB squirrel proof feeders, which also stop rats and parakeets.

Put the feeders near a tree of hedge for safe cover for the birds.

Move the feeders around regularly to prevent disease.

Enjoy.

I'm sorry but after Packham's uninformed and self-serving revocation of the general license for avian pest control, I shan't be tuning in to XWatch ever again.

He really is a prick of the first water.

Why do we need a general license for avian pest control? If there's specific need, a license will be issued?

c'mon Derek - you'll have to explain that one.I don't think he personally revoked the licences.

I thought it was DEFRA who put a shonky scheme in place and certain wildlife groups simply pointed out the flaws in it leading to it being changed in an equally shonky manner.

Harry the spider - tell your lovely friend that sadly Kate Humble is no longer on. But you (whoops) can often see her on other telly programmes.

It's the wonderful Michaela Strachen now.

I have a friend who really likes Iolo Williams.

He really is a prick of the first water.

Talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face.
He's shrugged off death threats, don't think he'll give a shite about you not liking him anyway.
And. I. Agree about. Angela. (knows her stuff though)

Nah - it was the large male house spider seen crawling around Xanders house.

She might have a weird cadence but the piece about blue sharks was great

I didn’t realise that the twit and the twoo were two separate owls talking to each other. Every day’s a school day, eh?

We hear the owls in the woods behind the house all the time. So Mrs Binners has just observed that the “twit” ”twoo” is the owl equivalent of:

“Binners!”

“What?!”

Shouted up the stairs

😂

Mrs Binners also reckons that Michaela looks like she’s had a few shandies before tonight’s show

I think it's a great show along with springwatch, right up there in bbc natures catalogue. Not so sure about the presenters getting new down jacket every day though. Not very eco is it.
