I had a micro SD card from Amazon delivered in a shoebox sized box. For a micro SD card. Shoe sized. Mental.

At least it’s cardboard you should see the thickness of the plastic in the chilled sections of supermarkets ie with cloves of peeled garlic in tubs made from dense plastic thick enough to stand an elephant on, for people who are too (big swear words go here) lazy to peel veg themselves. I left a review at the Waitrose website one day just because I’d seen these things, and of course they deleted my review. We live in interesting times. Consumergeddon?

But yes it seems Lego are also stupid

On several occasions I have received a 50ml syringe in a 1m X 1m X 1m box. Despite our protestations the supplier insisted that this was the smallest package they could use.

Staples used to be the best at this. Order a pack of pens and they’d arrive in a coffin sized box

LEGO move to their "you 3d print the bricks yourself" business model earlier than expected.

I think there was a thing like this on The Register where someone was sent an A4 sheet of paper with a license code on it.... wrapped onto a pallette!

There was that old joke on here related to seeing the Antonov 225 landing at Manchester and it being response to someone ordering a chainlink from CRC. CRC were notorious for this for a while.

I think you should tweet at Lego customer services....public "shaming" might have some impact

I’m sure the bricks will be even more securely packed in foam and a wood crate; everyone knows just how dangerous Lego bricks can be, if not handled in a responsible fashion.

In my head it was a guppy and a memory card? but i think i remembered wrong because yours sounds hella familiar.

Up there with the comment about a super rare visitor bird getting smooshed by a wind turbine infront of a bunch of twitchers pointing out their lack of surprise as it had already proved it had no sense of direction.

Just had a 297 x 420 x 50 mm boxed package arrive from Germany

Containing 2 small cloth patches (and a few freebie stickers), parcel force delivery driver also woke me up.

I ordered some sealant from Silverfish, thought I'd add a cleaning brush, just to pad out the order.
Big box turns up. Just the brush sat all lonely in the bottom. Sealant to follow in a second carbon neutral delivery. Hmm, couldn't you just ask me if I need the cleaning brush urgently? Cos I really could've waited.
