GoOutdoors is pretty well stocked. There is a bunch of the usual shops in the city centre all a few doors apart (Blacks, Millets, Mountain something, Oswald Bailey) and a North Face shop.

If you are in Hotwells, then the strange, but interesting Marcruss stores (top floor) is worth a visit.

Also Ellis Brigham top of Blackboy Hill:

+1 for Marcruss. You can pick up some ex-police riot gear and a bullet proof vest while you are there. They also have cheap army surplus goretex stuff.

You've all forgotten the Berghaus shop in Broadmead and the new Cotswold Outdoor not far away on Union Street.

"Mountain something" above is of course Mountain Warehouse.
