If you have one what kind is it? (and if self build how much ££ and effort)

Besides bread and pizza, what do you cook in it?

How easy is it to use maintain?

Thinking of installing one at some point in the future.

After two hours of silence you may have your answer. 🙁
I'd love one but even I know it would be barely used in our climate - I'm sticking to the BBQ.

They are fantastic fun to make. Well worth getting loads of people involved. Look up the dimensions and method as you need to get the diameter and height right for it to support itself. Sand, clay and cob basically. Dead easy once you know the basics. Maintain? Almost nothing to do. You can cook most anything in them, it just takes practice.
Cost - not much, time, a bit (so it dries properly), fun - loads.

One of my old neighbours built a Pizza oven. They used it quite often not just summer either, as long as it wasn't raining. Pizza night were always brilliant.

They certainly did bread and Pizza not sure if they cooked anything else in it though

[edit] he always had a good source of free good wood too through work, which made it free to run [/edit]

Grandparents neighbours (farmers) have one (and BBQ grill) built itno a wall. Great for parties where the whole vilage comes round and they've a huge garden (it's a farm remember). Looked like a like a lot of effort to cook dinner, but good for cooking dinner for 60 people.
