The main thing I'd like to see stopped is his whole melodramatic pretending to be the manager and being incredibly huffy whenever anything displeases him (which is basically almost everything). Pretty undermining for any manager I would have thought.
True. But can his knees cope with not doing it? He’ll miss them when they’re gone
He's not using a lot of knee standing up front waving and sulking and making the odd run to 'close down' so it's not totally obvious that he's just not interested in being part of any sort of organised press.
Looking forward to the tantrum/fall out if he does become an impact sub.
I didn't think Ole wanted him. It's completely upset the balance of the team. I bet Cavani was ecstatic to see him rock up
I thought he'd be starting the Champions League games but not every premier league game. You have to wonder if it's actually the manager who's been picking the squad.
In other news, it's absolutely lashing down with snow in the East Lancs Hills. Looks like the Burnley game might be off.
EDIT: It's been postponed. I'm not surprised. I've just left my car in town and walked home
Looking forward to City v West Ham. Should be a belter
Well I won’t actually be watching City vWest Ham because why on earth would you televise the third and fourth placed teams playing each other when there’s Brentford v Everton to show instead.
Sometimes the TV deals for premier League coverage is absolutely insane. Surely to god you should at least have the option?
Starting on the bench today. I hope someone brought his dummy.
If one of the 3 defensive midfielders pick up an injury do they have another to bring on and replace him?
I didn’t think Ole wanted him. It’s completely upset the balance of the team. I bet Cavani was ecstatic to see him rock up
Maybe. Tough to tell with Ole - what was club speak and what he believes. He seems very much into the 'Man U way' bollocks, which was alright in it's time and place but now just seems dated.
He either wanted him because he was of the right era, or he didn't and didn't have the power/man bits/sense to drop him. Not sure which.
Not playing today but too much other stuff going on - new manager bump, players wanting to make their case to Rangnick etc to get a real sense if they are better without him.
Can't believe I'm rooting for Man U. 😳
Dear god! We’re in unchartered waters now.
Are you ok?
It's shameful to admit but I seem to remember rooting for them at least once in Europe years ago - possibly the Solskjaer final in fact.
Are you ok?
No.
My scouse mate, who I usually watch the footy with, always ends up supporting us whenever we play Citeh. I’m thinking of buying him a Ronnie shirt 😂
Anyway… I’ll take that. We didn’t concede our traditional couple of first half goals. The defence looks miles better without that ludicrously over-priced idiot pretending to be captain. He’s been shockingly bad this season
Ronnie to come on for a 96th minute winner?
Boom!!!!! SANCHOOOOOOOOOO!!!! 😃
@grum - just so you know you’re not alone, I just got the message
As you can imagine I'm cheering you bunch of inbreds on in this game!! Come on Unaaaartid!!!! 😀😀😀
Man Utd seem to have woken up since the goal - game on.
Can't believe Ronaldo is coming on - should put Lingard on instead.
Leeds fan rooting for the Scum - will be washing my mouth out with bleach later.
If it’s any consolation @Philby I do recall supporting you horrible lot when you were playing Arsenal at the end of one of those seasons when it was us or them. It was surreal. A pub in Manchester City centre, full ofUnited fans, all supporting Leeds. I still feel dirty 😉
That’ll do. We didn’t get absolutely battered. I’m quite enjoying the novelty
I have to say that this present offside arrangement is absolutely bonkers! How the hell can you end up with a corner from a passage of play that starts with a player a mile offside?
We didn’t get anything from it (it is us, after all) but if the boot was on the other foot I’d have been as livid as Tuchel
Surely if you have a corner, and you have Ronaldo in your team, then at least get a little height on it!
Yeah that offside corner was stupid, I didn't realise that was the rule, I don't think I have seen it so obviously implemented before.
I thought you were battered in terms of play to be honest, as per usual some players produced in moments, you had 5 good mins after the goal, but in reality it was largely 1 way traffic and you were lucky to get the draw.
Good result for the title race though.
Other talking points from the weekend, wolves have quietly slipped into 6th without much fanfare. And how long has Benitez got left, wouldn't be surprised to see him gone very soon.
Having just read the comments from an Everton-supporting mate regarding the fat Spanish waiter, I’d say his days are numbered. There was very little affection for him to begin with, given his Liverpool connections. They do seem to have gone backwards under his management. To say the least. It’s bloody awful to watch
Leeds fan rooting for the Scum – will be washing my mouth out with bleach later.
Unfortunately you are no longer a Leeds fan. Can I suggest Huddersfax? Their fans seem to quite like Scum for some reason.
Yeah that offside corner was stupid, I didn’t realise that was the rule, I don’t think I have seen it so obviously implemented before.
It's a bit ridiculous that VAR can review it if it leads to a goal but not if it leads to a thing that leads to a goal. Either way they've scored from an offside play.
It wasn't pretty, it was realistic and pragmatic. I think there will be more of the same until Rangnick can implement the things he wants to see. It's halted the slide, which is good news for Utd fans. It also showed the players had given up. I think I saw more work in that game than the last half dozen.
That shit offside call was the linesman's fault.
Because he didn't flag offside the rules dictate it was a corner.
He missed the end of the passage of play when he should have flagged offside.
d say his days are numbered. There was very little affection for him to begin with, given his Liverpool connections. They do seem to have gone backwards under his management. To say the least. It’s bloody awful to watch
Sounds about right. Anyone who thought they were going to play pretty football under him were deluded. He runs horses for courses and aims for results not looks. He is also stuck with some very expensive players who really don't fit (Tosun, anyone? Thanks Sam, you *%*%)
By appointing him you are implicitly giving him time to shape the team, move out what isn't working and move in what will. His acquisitions have paid off already. Injuries always are and always will be a problem for smaller clubs, their second choices aren't first choices everywhere else like the bigger teams. When you consider the other managers desperation signings, he's got a much smaller sqaud than most.
I like Everton, always have. I appreciate Rafa for what he is. They would be mad to keep chopping and changing. That's what got them here. Bit like Utd
They do seem to have gone backwards under his management
I'd concur with they were doing fine until some key players got injured. Not everyone has a bench with Sancho, Cavani, De Beke and Ronaldo on it you know!
As you can imagine I’m cheering you bunch of inbreds on in this game!! Come on Unaaaartid!!!! 😀😀😀
🙂
Would you rather have a Fat Spanish Waiter, or two extras from Lord of the Rings?
(just been sent this photo, genius)

Amazing pic! I enjoyed this one the other day also.
What is the guy behind Stevie G doing?! He looks like a hammer thrower or like he's curling one out. Or maybe someone just kicked away his Bielsa-bucket. Or he's pretending to drive a tiny clown car.
They do seem to have gone backwards under his management. To say the least. It’s bloody awful to watch
Who could replace him and do a better job? Give him time to stabilise the ship.
Does anyone think Messi deserved the Ballon d'Or this year? I honestly can't believe Lewandowski didn't get it
That’s odd, I guess the Copa America win helped?
Does anyone think Messi deserved the Ballon d’Or this year? I honestly can’t believe Lewandowski didn’t get it
Big fan of Messi but I'd have gone for someone like Leonardo Bonucci.
Lionesses are running riot 11-0 inside 60 mins against Latvia
now 12 (should be allowed to throw in the towel!) Perhaps they could try and get everyone on the score sheet!
13-0 14-0
scoring every 3 mins or so 😀
Full Premier League programme this week, all on Amazon Prime.
Newcastle down to ten men v Norwich - given their December fixtures they really need a win.
17-0 18-0 with 10mins to play!!!!
now 19 20 nil
cruel from the ref to add time on :/
Big result for Leeds tonight against Palace. Gives us a little more breathing space at the lower end of the table especially after the Newcastle v Norwich draw.
#MOT #ALAW
Pretty poor games tonight, not much quality on display, but yeah good result for Leeds. Geordie Saudis are doomed aren’t they!
Kick It Out has accused beIN Sports of amplifying homophobia and questioned whether members of the LGBTQ+ community should travel to Qatar for the World Cup after a former Egypt footballer said homosexuality was “against human nature” during a punditry appearance for the Qatari broadcaster.
Mohamed Aboutrika, one of the station’s best-known pundits, sparked fury after urging Muslim players to boycott the Premier League’s Rainbow Laces campaign, which is designed to support the LGBTQ+ community, and saying that homosexuality is not “compatible” with Islam. The 43-year-old added that Muslim people “have a role to play” in eliminating homosexuality and described it as a “dangerous ideology that is becoming nasty”.
It's almost as if all of these inclusive campaigns are merely window dressing when big money comes along wanting to host a tournament in a repressive country.
Russia is hardly inclusive either. But Sepp Blatter's FIFA only saw money.
So who's going to be the next Everton manager?
Fans leaving after less that 20 mins?
Their issue is, they're trying to out Liverpool a Liverpool team. But with Everton players and quality
Shoulda been 4 down but only one goal in it.
Lol at Pep going on about a player emergency (due to injuries) - look at the side they’ve managed to scrape together v Villa! They could fiend two top four teams easy.
So who’s going to be the next Everton manager?

Plenty of experience at an appallingly managed club who spend huge amounts of money on overpriced mediocre players, apparently at random, with no plan, no philosophy and no direction. He’d fit right in
Bang on Binners - half a billion spent in five years, a succession of managers. Couple of places further down the league but the same issues. At least United haven’t appointed an ex City manager……although I did hear a rumour about Mancini….😀
Half a billion quid for a pub side
It really is quite staggering
Makes our transfer dealings look laser focussed, tactically astute and great value for money
Hats off to Ranieri though. He’s got Watford really playing. They look like a different team. They deserved at least a point today, as Tuchel himself admitted
But Chelski still getting 3 points when you’re not playing great is how you win titles. That was the first away goal they’ve conceded all season. That’s bonkers! They have to be favourites, surely?
Everton fans showing their 'bitters' nickname is fully justified again I see. Imagine booing VVD for, erm.... being sickeningly injured by one of your players?
The Portuguese side in Manchester scored some crackers tonight
Everton fans showing their ‘bitters’ nickname is fully justified again I see. Imagine booing VVD for, erm…. being sickeningly injured by one of your players?
Rrrriiiiiggghhhttt. Cos they are the only fans in the league that boo opposition players.
Makes our transfer dealings look laser focussed, tactically astute and great value for money
It really doesn't. But it makes them look less bad.
Same problem different team. New manager signs players, gets canned. Next new manager signs players, gets canned. Etc. Eventually you end up with a squad of guys who are tactically incompatible. Still they haven't bought Lukaku back for twice what they sold him for yet, so there is that to look forward to.
Rrrriiiiiggghhhttt. Cos they are the only fans in the league that boo opposition players.
Well I said nothing of the kind did I. But booing a player because he was horrifically injured by one of your team's players seems pretty dark. Or is there another reason?
But then Everton fans are always booing something or other.
Premier league, on a Thursday, what gives?
Well, due to the wonders of Amazon Prime I can watch the Man U game without relying in the binners live feed on here 👍
Everton fans showing their ‘bitters’ nickname is fully justified again
Kinda seems like you did, unless all the teams are nicknamed bitters.
But booing a player because he was horrifically injured by one of your team’s players seems pretty
Is that why? Or did you just assume that?
But then Everton fans are always booing something or other.
Right, not football fans always booing something but Everton fans. Rrrriiiiiggghhhttt.
Fred with the assist there i'd say ;o)
Right decision
lol at the united players wanting a goal written off because Fred fouled his own goalkeeper.
Thank god McCoist doesn't work for Sky, he sounds like my dad talking all the way through the football!
Bielsma or di Canio or Sven would have ordered them the let united score.
Oh, and @grum, I think the reason Everton fans were booing VVD is because when they celebrated the 0-0 in the derby, he criticised them and said it was proof Liverpool should have won.
Why England fans boo him is less clear, unless it's because he plays for the pool and they think they are up themselves and believe they should win everything by divine right, because they did it in the 70s. Or something
De Gea wasn’t even hurt - quickly got to his feet once the physio arrived. If he’d broke his leg I can see validity in Arsenal letting United score. Play to the whistle!
Good game this!
Better than Wheel of Time.

Burnley vs Norwich would be better than Wheel of Time!
Oh, and @grum, I think the reason Everton fans were booing VVD is because when they celebrated the 0-0 in the derby, he criticised them and said it was proof Liverpool should have won.
Those straws won't clutch themselves!
Those straws won’t clutch themselves!
True enough. After all, your explanation makes so much more sense. I distinctly remember everyone booing Alf-inge Haland after Kenae crocked him.
I think we hit peak Fred last night
Took out De gea, went up the other end to got an assist, won a penalty, gave it away about 50 times, won it back about another 50
In a lot of ways he reminds me of this headcase

You just never know what you’re going to get
The original sweeper keeper, or as we referred to it at the time: WTF IS HE DOING WANDERING ABOUT AROUND THE CENTRE CIRCLE?!!!!
Yeah, Fred definitely isn't for the faint hearted united supporter!
He does have ability, and in the right formation and position he's going to do well, but as Roy Keane says, not in central midfield, he's too prone to losing the ball and being turned over if pressured.
For me last nights game was just a battle between two teams not at their best, and won by the home team by a single goal, Arsenal actually reminded me of United earlier this season, you had Partey and Elneny playing miles apart and losing the ball all the time, Tavares was doing his best wan bissaka as well, being pulled out of position and played around with easy passes, the front players were just running about at times, and Aubameyang is just not the same player, they've had a good run lately, but Arteta still has a lot of work to do!
Aubamayang looks like he really just can’t even be arsed any more and it’s all a bit too much trouble
It was like watching 2 faded divas battle over a tiara. Can't believe Fred is Brazilian, he's more like something from the mines of Moria.
Aaron Ramsey got loads of stick from Stoke fans after Ryan Shawcross did his best to end his career. Lovely 😐
Enjoyed the game last night - the battle for 6th. Interested to see what effect Rangnick has - Carrick off already which is probably good for him, and the club. Arsenal looked a bit weak in centre mid - Partey and Elneny gave it away a lot and Odegaard, good technical player that he is, doesn’t have the physicality for the league.
The funny thing was that after that goal decision, united upped their effort, it actually spurred them onto the victory IMO. If that hadn't happened they were looking on for another soft defeat.
We’ve been doing that for over a season now. We’ll normally ship two soft goals in the first half, sometimes in the first couple of minutes, before finally waking up for the second
Or not.
I’m not sure Masuaku actually meant to do that, but that has to be a strong contender for goal of the season 😳
This has been a superb match and a well deserved win for West Ham
Yes, enjoyed that and what an odd goal at the end.
Origi 😂
In ‘Juergy time’ too? 😂
It’s properly game on for the title this season. A 3 horse race
Origi, the weirdest legend to grace a Liverpool jersey. 90% of the time he's awful, but every now and again, genius
He only seems to score really important goals. If there’s no pressure on him then he can’t hit a barn door with a shovel, but when you need a last minute winner to take you top…
Never in the history of a football club has so much been owed by so many to such an average player.
