New comedy now on iPlayer with Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi. As expected, it is very silly

I've watched the first two and there's enough funny bits for me to stick with it.
Saw the first one at the weekend, really enjoyed it.
Enjoyed the first two. About time Rhys Darby got a lead in something like this. Loving the British actors hamming it up as well.
Love Rhys Darby, rest of it felt a bit forced to me, but only watched the pilot so far.
I think my lingering resentment over paying actual money to see 'Thor: Blood and Thunder' might be colouring things, though. 🙂
definitely worth sticking with its really good

I managed about 15 minutes on Disney+
And I'll usually enjoy anything from Taika, including the previous Thor (Not a Marvel fan).
watched the first 2 yesterday, I did enjoy it & there were a couple of genuine LOLs. Far too many cast members though & definitely too "American". That said I'll happily carry on watching until it jumps the shark 😃

Previous Thor was top-notch, hence me actually wanting to see this at the cinema. In terms of expectation vs disappointment, this one was quite something. My fear is that Taika himself has jumped the shark and listened to too many people telling him he's a genius.
I really liked Love & Thunder (although it wasn't nearly as good as Ragnarok) probably mainly down to the super-80s vibe 😃 I cannot be doing with all the normal po-faced Marvel stuff though e.g. Avengers etc which takes itself WAY too seriously!
Ah well, we thought it was bloody awful and turned it off 😂
Watched the whole series via "other means" last year and it's great. Can't wait for another series
We watched the pilot last night. I thought it worth further investigation. My wife's opinion was 'you've made me watch worse'. Her opinions are coloured by recent returns of Early Doors and Rentaghost, which she finds to be somewhere between dull and bewildering.
Its grown on me
were about 1/2 way through
Its certainly not as good as What We Do In The Shadows, but still fun
Thor Love & Thunder is better if you see it as Korg telling the story to the kids. Unreliable narrator and all that. It is a rather silly film.
Love Rhys Darby so will be watching this. His stand up is great too.
Seen the first episode. I’ll not be watching any more.
Thing is what we do in the shadows film or series is just phenomenal. Pilot done will try another but it wasn't quite what would hope with those two names.
Total lack of laughs, so I'm out.
Just watched the pilot. Whimsical and quietly amusing rather than laugh out loud funny. Will deffo watch more, if only to see Ewan Bremner really enjoying chewing the scenery.
Still following this, watching live rather than binging, and very much enjoying it. Gets better as it goes on IMO. Blackbeard is great but Izzy being played by Con O'Neill did make it a bit trickier to watch Happy Valley 🙂
Finished watching with teenage daughter at weekend, we both really enjoyed it.
it gets a lot better when Blackbeard (ie Taika Waititi) turns up! Wasn't totally sold on the pilot episode, but it improves from there.
The scene with Blackbeard crying in the bath had me spluttering my drink out. Enjoying it.
Watched it all a few weeks ago. It's enjoyable and you warm to the characters, although it's slow and lacking something. Somehow it doesn't feel like it was rehearsed a great deal, the delivery/timing just seemed a little off.

Agree, but it's still pretty meh.
Con O’Neill
I always associate him with incredible character he played in "Uncle".
^^Yup.
In other news, cats are witches and have knives on their feet. 😆 🤣
Our Cat Flag Means Death.
amazing how much of it is true!
Wow!
Anyway, loved the series... just kept getting better and better.
