yes self defence of you life and property is a crime in this country
why do we live in a country were the rights of the criminal out weigh the rights of the victim...
TROLL!
Terrible effort.

Did you actually read the article?
Three blokes gave someone a good kicking and used a baseball bat on him.
They were not 'defending you life and property' - they were carrying out a punishment beating.
lol, not a troll, well maybe to guardian reading pansy's.
It's legal to defend yourself and your property. It's not legal to set about someone with a baseball bat.

yep, it's a troll.

yep i read it, the ****s got what they deserved, spent a lot of time in Texas , its perfectly legal to shoot someone on sight if you catch em stealing from you're house.
Tip: if you're going to troll, at *least* be a bit subtle about it.
Two Saville posts and then this?
The comedy grammar and spelling are a bit obvious.
If this is your only login, I'd be very, very surprised.
Would a punishment beating have been administered if sticky fingers had left other peoples belongings alone, a simple yes or no will suffice?

Just what I was thinking.
in Texas , its perfectly legal to shoot someone on sight if you catch em stealing from you're house
On stw we have a similar rule for people who can't use your and you're appropriately.
stw forum agrees that crime pays..
'In Texas'. Have you met a chap called Lance. He's big on misplaced moral outrage too.
If he hadn't been trying to steal he wouldn't have a broken back.....what was the guy supposed to do? Gift wrap the quad bikes for thieving scum?!
'He's big on misplaced moral outrage too.
Oh the irony etc...
what was the guy supposed to do
Use reasonable force.
There, that wasn't so difficult to understand now, was it?
I'd probably call teh police?

Ah, that fine line between saying "carry on lads, help yourself" and beating him to a pulp with a baseball bat.
schools finished a bit late today.
what was the guy supposed to doUse reasonable force.

if i caught some one stealing my bike, braking every bone in their body would be reasonable force..
I'd probably call teh police?
who would turn up the next day and do **** all about it.
Jamie - posting that image is, apparently, a banning offence.
However, posting shite on teh forum obviously isn't, or this thread would have been closed by now and the OP in ta ta land.
I have no useful contribution to make!
if people knew that stealing could result in a brutal end, maybe there would be less theft.
If people knew that beating the crap out of someone with a baseball bat and leaving them needing 13 operations to try and get them right again would end in a prison sentence, maybe there would be less violence ?
tyresarerubber, your only 'contributions' to this forum are in threads relating to paedophilia and violence...is there something you'd like to share?
there's hardly anyone in prison in Texas so it must work!
if i caught some one stealing my bike, braking every bone in their body would be reasonable force..
We used to have a saying at school...
"Yow'm 'ard in yer leotard"
We used to say it when people made laughably hollow and meaningless threats.
Anyway - who's running the book on the 'real' ID of this cheerful young lady?
braking every bone in their body would be reasonable force..
would it..?
do you really mean that..?
really..?
think about it.. surely just a leg would be enough..? Or a leg and a wrist if you're really angry..
It would take a long and concerted effort to break every bone in another man's body, during which time you would have to endure a lot of pleading, whimpering, begging for mercy, screaming, vomiting, shitting and pissing..
by the end of it you would be knackered and deeply mentally scarred..
And what if you missed some..? how would you check..?

Now, I'm all for giving burglars a hard time, yeah, defend yourself and your property, if you think your life is at risk, kill first etc. but this goes waaaaaay beyond that.
I think in this case, British justice can be seen to be working perfectly.
If you don't like that, sod off back to Texas. (Although I thought they'd been bought out by Wickes a long time ago?)
lower middle class stw readers getting mad... epic..
tyresarerubber, did the big boys pick on you again at school today?
tyresarerubber, yourbrainispulp
lower middle class stw readers getting mad... epic..
Lower middle class? You really are a comedy genious. In fact you're so funny, you should get an agent.
After all, why sit in the dark handling yourself?
if people knew that stealing could result in a brutal end, maybe there would be less theft.
No, thieves would just carry weapons. And who would be better at using a weapon - a person who once saw an action movie, or someone who is a member of the criminal underworld?
brain? lol. no chance.
