****'s sake - my life is one thing after another these days. I went to pick up my work shirts from the laundry and ... it wasn't there! Just a notice on the window saying that the business had been evicted. Just kicking myself - I had the idea that business wasn't thriving but it never occurred to me that it would go down the tubes with my stuff.
Well, first world problems I guess.
Has the business folded and creased trading.?
Is this laundry in the UK?

Sweet Jesus. I hope you're thoroughly ashamed of yourself if that's the best you can do 🙂
Take a breath first. I've recently discovered that getting shirty off the cuff can often encourage the opposite to desired outcome. See if you can collar someone later when the dust has settled, right now you need to sort out the small stuff.
We had a similar problem here when the local laundry employed a new manager, turns out he had some mental health problems and broke all the washing machines before doing a runner.
local newspaper covered the story the next week

I know it seems like a pressing matter right now, but you weren't to know they were in solvent
OK - now I feel better!
It'll all come out in the wash ... 😛
Yep, you've been rinsed.
Take them to the cleaners.
You can take some in comfort knowing this won't stain your reputation on here. This daz not softener the blow however but you can always go for a spin or cycle and hope it all sorts itself out.

Possibly some form of white collar crime or maybe they were laundering?
You suds look out for your shirts on Gumtree and EBay
Oh, the ironing. Sorry, I'll button it now.
You've been hung out to dry, but don't get your knickers in a twist.
Sounds like a stitch-up.
Maybe the owner pegged it.
