Given that the train was painted in "don't take the risk" livery, I suspect it's ben done more than once for PSA type things by Network Rail

No, only closed a week. Trains only run on Saturday's on that bit of line so didn't even delay any trains!

I shall reserve my thoughts about the car driver incase it was a genuine accident/ equipment fault. Hitting something Shogun size is more than enough to derail a train. I hope my fellow footplate man and the passengers in his charge are ok.
