In the spirit of mountain mayhem this might have been worth a shot except 1st go was cancelled due to massive fires, second attempt was nearly washed away, thankfully it ran well on attempt 3 🙂

So instead

Anything "Pro" or "Professional".

e.g. Oral B Pro toothbrushes which currently feature a nice young lady telling us that her dentist told her she should turn pro. 😯

Assuming for a moment that the dentist was indeed referring to her choice of toothbrush: who is going to pay her to brush her teeth?

Anything "Pro" or "Professional".

I saw a hand held food processor advertised (to men) in Canada. Gunmetal grey, black and chrome.

The THUNDERSTICK PRO. 😀

I'd hazard a guess that the advertising agency may have given her a few quid for it.

Britain's got "talent"

having only the adverts to go on I'd suggest otherwise

Almost any caravan

Followed a 'Firestorm' caravan yesterday. Quite inappropriate I thought, not sure I'd sleep easy in that...

Nissan Cedric and Ford Probe?

There's a pickup or two with daft names, but they are escaping me right now...

Caravans.. for a while it was pretty ridiculous.

Ambassador - "Welcome to our country your excellency, here is your accomodation.."

Marauder - Hoardes of Vikings rolling off the Harwich ferry to plunder the South East

Challenger - comfortable accommodation for your orbital flight

Conqueror - never realised leisure pursuits could be so confrontational

Olympus - I'm sure the Gods would rather stay in a caravan than on top of a mystical mountain.. having said that, perhaps the triple rated insulation and blown air heating would add some much needed comfort.

Eccles - much more like it

It's a bit more sensible nowadays.

Almost any caravan

Mines called a quattro fb, that's because it's got 4 wheels and a fixed bed, hardly over there top.
I think I need to rename it!

Caravan's aren't so bad nowadays to be fair. Mine's called Avalon. Pretty innocuous for 20 years ago.

I was going to say caravans but several people beat me to it. Some names I spotted recently that aren't mentioned are cosmos, meteor, whirlwind, quasar, typhoon

The Beast of Hope Cross
Wasn't it named that 20-30(!) years ago when rigid bikes, 1.9" crap tyres and rim brakes were[s] the norm[/s] the only thing available ? I should think it was a bit more of a handful back then. (Dunno if this applies to the widow maker)

The word "Executive". When it only seems to be used on coaches used by grannies.

Oh, and if we're talking car names....THIS!
[img] [/img]

Yep. It's the antithesis of OTT named cars, the Nissan Cedric.

Bloke I used to work with used to commute on a BSO MTB proudly named a 'Mountain Ridge Destroyer'.
The only things it was likely to destroy were his teeth and his genitalia...

I remember seeing a poster for this and thinking the name summed up everything that was wrong with the way cars are marketed.

"Darling, I'm just off to the school to pick up the kids in the PREDATOR..."

The Beast of Hope Cross is still a bit of a beast for me. There are 3 bits that I'm a bit of a wimp on. Maybe I'd be better on a full suss!
