Bit of a moan really, I woke up this morning to find the driver who was delivering a neighbour's Peloton squeezed his truck in to a gap outside our house ( other bigger gaps were available), it was a big luton with a tail lift and the gap was maybe a foot longer than the truck if that, his tail lift was sitting literally an inch from my boot, when I pointed out I thought it a bit unreasonable and that he could have easily hit the car he offered such gems as "I didn't hit it did I", "I pay road tax so I'll park where I like" and "You should have parked closer to the car in front", it just really ground my gears.
I then dropped my daughter off at school and just walking home some bloke screamed past the school at I'd say roughly sixty mph, the road is a twenty and a narrow residential street with cars both sides of the road, so by 9am I'd slightly had enough. The street is actually a dead end so he had to turn round so obviously I had a wee shout at him, just really wound me up, grrr.

, when I pointed out I thought it a bit unreasonable and that he could have easily hit the car he offered such gems as “I didn’t hit it did I”, “I pay road tax so I’ll park where I like” and “You should have parked closer to the car in front

So you park on the road and get cross that people park close to you? I'm afraid this is not an other people problem.

some bloke screamed past the school at I’d say roughly sixty mph

This is absolutely an other people problem.

He deserved it. The guy just doing his job didn't. I suspect his day got off to a worse start than yours.

I think a driver got upset with me this week when I proclaimed them to be a prick after they steamed past me as I cycled home from work, post overtake they then stood on the brakes and blocked the road so they could turn into the co-op that's probably a short walk fom where they live.

Other people, I've never really liked them.

Should've done some motivational screaming for the fella as he sweated getting the Peleton bike out of the van.

"YOU GOT THIS!"

"JUST ANOTHER FIVE YARDS! GIVE ME EVERYTHING!"

I'm not sure what the point of shouting at him was. I avoid shouting at other road users, if I want to interact with them I tend to talk to them in a normal manner.

Other people innit. Can't win. Got abuse on the motorway this week, inside lane, roadworks, 50 mph limit, doing 50mph. Go past an on slip, can't move to middle lane without making someone slow down. Kept a steady speed so people entering the motorway could gauge my speed and adjust theirs to merge. Gut coming up the slip road obviously expected me to slow down to let him in (as he undertook me on the slip road). Got the universal shaky gesture from him. Conversely if I had of slowed and he was doing the same to merge behind me I would have blocked him. As I said can't win. Anyway he braked, pulled in behind me then floored it around me doing about 70mph in a 50 zone. Came off at the next junction about a mile further on.

In your case speeder = dick, delivery guy less so but still and entitled ****. Yes he's doing his job but it's his problem to find somewhere safe to pull in to offload. Many delivery drivers seem to think it's fine to abandon their vehicle whilst they wander off to deliver something.

Seems a reasonable response to me. If he'd actually hit it then you'd have a point.
