My laptop is about to die and im considering a new ipad. Am i right in thinking if i buy a new ipad and the airport express thing that i can stream my music straight to my cyrus hifi via the airport express? Ive got about 1000 cds which i would love to play wirelesly via a laptop or ipad..what is the sound quality like? is this possible and what sort of sized memory would i need to do this. probably the wrong forum but ive had a sniff about on the web and being a complete apple virgin cant seem to find a definitive answer..any alternatives?
For what it's worth I have been streaming music on my iPad, iPhone and macbook straight to my apple tv that's plugged into my AV receiver via an HDMI cable.
Works fine, sound is good enough for me and the "remote" app on the iPad/iPhone means it can all be controlled without using the slightly annoying remote that comes with the apple tv.
