What is the best product for cleaning electric ovens ? I've looked at the price of getting somebody in to have it done professionally but I'd rather save the money and embarrassment and do it myself, however some of the supermarket cleaning products are a bit naff. Anyone got any suggestions for something that really works ?
A wife?
I dont want to be accused of discrimination here by the pinko lefties so for clarification other women are very good at cleaning to.
Pay to get someone round to do it
Buy a new cooker.
No such thing as OT even for here.

Oven Pride, job done
Thanks all, I'm going with the "pay someone" option I think.
Handheld steam cleaners are very effective.
Get a man in. The ovens in our new house were a fire hazard! £60 and three hours later they looked like new. Once done, I recommend Oven Pride. It's H2O2 based, so wear some thick gloves. Racks clean in a bag and do come up sparkly.
But get a man in...
Oven Pride. Its the nuclear option and you must wear gloves but its amazingly nasty toxic hideous chemical formula works brilliantly.
Look what it does to a penny:
