Not my bike, but my brother in law also has an Orbea Rise - his is a 2021Rise M10. It has not been jetwashed - just cleaned with soapy water and using a hose without a nozzle.
I am having a look at it for him as a favour. The battery will not charge and as a result I cannot connect Shimano E-Tube project to it and look at the error codes. When I connect my charger or his - it goes red for a second and then flashes green as it does when it is on standby. As a result, I am in a process of elimination. I have checked:
- Connections to the switch - fine.
- Connections to the charging socket - fine.
- Connection to the junction box - fine.
- Connection in head tube - fine.
- Motor connection - checking this evening.
- Battery connection - checking this evening.
Any ideas? Other than the final two checks I have no idea.
Thanks woody!

A mate of mine has been waiting over 3 months for a new battery for his Rise, water ingress was the issue according to the shop he's dealing with and the bike was just over a year old when it stopped charging (bought somewhere else that closed down so paying another shop to process warranty claim). They've basically said they don't know how long it will take to get him a new battery. Good luck is all I can say
Happened to my Rise. Turns out battery was borked. No warning, no error codes, nothing obvious at all. One day it worked fine, then after a ride it simply wouldn't take a charge. Same red light flash on charger. Took about 3-4 weeks to get a new one from Spain. Luckily my LBS (Big up Zero Bikes) were able to get it through on warranty, even though the bike was over 2 years old.
Does the power button light up when you spin the rear wheel backwards, sometimes it can be this that needs replacing - the button not the wheel.
Drop the motor, disconnect it, clean connections and reconnect it to see if that powers it up. Mine did but wouldn't power up after being left for 24 hrs so needs a new battery. Once connected to the app it appeared fine and showed no faults.
It's been at the bike shop since April, hopefully Orbea are shipping a replacement battery next week but I'm not holding my breath.
Good luck

Orbea recently introduced warranty payments to dealers (according to my dealer MTB Monster) so you can take the bike to any Orbea dealer and they should not charge you. Worth checking.

A lot of dealers charge a fixed fee "we'll help with that." my local Orbea place is £35 and they'll then do the rest.
Thanks for all your responses!
