Me and my mates keep having this debate as to which one is better.
Personally i like Gears of War. What is the opinion of STW?
COD, but only the infinity ward ones.
COD
The first GOW was excellent
Later versions feel slow and clunky
Battlefield is still better than both of them though
Gears of War - chainsaws on guns, and the main character has the same voice as Bender from Futurama.
In this order:
Bf3
Gears
Infinity ward CoD's
Treyarch CoD's
Gears of War for me, although the fact that it's 3rd person and mud coloured annoys me a bit. Halo is the outright victor.

I've never liked 3rd person, and as much as I hate to admit it I do spend a lot of my winter each year playing the latest COD online.
So COD for me.

infinity ward dont actually make COD.
COD 4 modern warfare was the split and last time the 2 names (COD and Moderm warfare) were used together.
after that title infity ward took over and made modern warfare 2 + 3 anf Treyarch created COD world at war then black ops (and soon to be black ops 2 which will IMO be poo);)
but anyway for me it is

COD
and battlefeild can bugger off lol
Not played GOW or BF but have seen enough.
Been playing MW2 for the last 2 years and MW3 since its release.

1. Go outside and shield your eyes untill you get use to daylight again.
2. Ride your bike and discover reality is better than Games.
3. Talk to real people and make real friends.
I prefer the older WW2 COD games
GOW was good wasn't keen on the 2nd and never bothered after that.

1) I do that as well, there's 24 hours in a day.
2) I do that when I can but if I'm looking after the kids on my own I can't always do that but firing up the console I can do so more easily.

I gave up with Gears of War (one or two, can't remember) after failing to beat a boss on a train.
I'm now addicted to Mass Effect 3 multiplayer.
CaptJon, That is Gears 1 and that is the end of the game when you have to defeat General Raam.

Hated Gears of War, COD4 MW was great but sicne that i'm back on the Battlefield Series. BF3 is pretty ferckin awesome
