Need to change the leaking ball valve thing on the main throne, apparently it’s 15mm push fit but it isn’t responding to the usual push fit efforts.

Which bit do I need to hit?

A virtual elbow bump to anyone that can help!

Does it rotate? Not seen a push fit fitting like that. Could be welded. Can you retract the bit you've circled back towards the valve?

Nothing seems to rotate or retract. The tail does rotate inside the ‘push fit’ fitting though.

Sorted! The collar was the circled bit. Obvious when you look. Shame the replacement part is faulty 🙄

Just checking that the faulty replacement part has the required flow reducer fitted if you are on a mains water system. They often fall out in the box.

Hi Matt, it has what appears to be a filter in the inlet tail, almost cone shaped?

I’ve ended up ordering a replacement elsewhere.

Flow reducers come in all shapes but basically limit the amount of water coming in.
I presume the leaking ball valve is evidenced my water continuously running into the pan as that is how most modern overflows work. If yes, also check that the large rubber seal (that lifts when you flush) on the base of the flush tower is not covered in limescale, broken or has debris around the sealing surfaces.

Thanks again Mark! Yes, it is filling via the overflow into the pan as the inlet is leaking and there was also a weep due to the seal (as you say) due to limescale.

I’ve replaced the flush valve with a new unit as it was intermittently sticking on the cable.

I’ve also received the replacement for the fill valve which I’d assumed was faulty but the replacement is either also faulty or I’m missing something obvious. The float arm on the latest replacement is free whilst there’s no water pressure to the fill valve, but as soon as the isolation tap is opened the float arm becomes stiff irrespective of how high or low I set the pressure meaning the float doesn’t respond to the water level.
