It's good to see a proper competition car doing something there, the road car records are a bit tiresome in a way, mainly because nothing is beating a pretty old absolute record.

I saw a clip somewhere of them practising a while back. They would absolutely cane it around the track and then pull into the pits each time so they never completed a lap. I will try and find the link where the guy filming was trying to calculate the possible lap time. See how good his guess/maths was.

Hugely impressive, you think it's running out of puff at 300km/h but it's just because he cant plant it and then on a straight bit it shoots up to 350.
Bellof's 1983 effort is still something special though, staggering given the difference in technology and safety.
