I know it is an often visited topic, but I can’t be arsed trying to find old threads on my iPhone.

i am looking for podcast recommendations, stuff similar to “the infinite monkey cage” ie educational with a dose of humor, not just science a range of topics would be good.

ok, I have some good suggestions there, what I am still looking for is a good fitness podcast, something that isn’t focused on any particular fitness cult like hiit  paleo, keto, bro gym science etc but looks at them all the science behind them and the pros and cons of them, while appreciating that different approaches may work for different people.

Any ideas?

but looks at them all the science behind them

Search for Brad Schoenfeld. He appears on lots of podcasts and is all about evidence based results in body composition.

It was quite a while ago now so I dont know if there are still available but robin ince did a series of podcasts with josie long called ‘robin and josie’s utter shambles’ - usually with one guest interviewee each episode. Not science-y but often informative.

Its one of the good podcasts that’s don’t have a ‘broadcast clock’ and try and mimic a radio programme but instead play to the strengths of a podcast which is to have an interview which lasts as long as a topic/conversation  is interesting

that format (or lack of format) brings out the best in certain interviewees - I’ve never really paid a lot of interest to Rufus Hound for instance but on Utter Shambles and RHLSP he’s a really compelling person to listen to when given room to talk at lemgth
