Right I just had an e-mail for a company for a job.
E-mail states:
What do you want to do today after your post-doc? What kind of job are you looking for.
Is there something smart to reply or something that will make me stand (in a good way) out of the crowd.
Cheers
Is it a proper email or a spam unsolicited email?
Those are very expansive questions; they are casting a wide net.
Sounds like spam.
They've thrown one out to see what bites (in management speak!)
Not a spam, genuine answer from an application I replied to.
"i wanna be rich, rich beyond my wildest dreams. Oh and world peace."
What's a post-doc?
What kind of job -are- you looking for?
"Well, ideally I'm looking for a job that pays a seven-figure salary; duties include driving convertible sports cars in California, testing cocktails in Hawaii, and lightly oiling Angelina Jolie as required."
i want to spell correctly whilst goading the english about their rubbish football team?
what would you right if you were being honest?
Don't write right unless it's right in the context.
Tom, something in the lines of:
I am looking for a job where i can use the skills I have developped during my PhD and my post-doct.
I am looking for an opportunity to also learn new skills and to challenge myself on a regular basis.
Well something along these lines
I am looking for a role that will allow me to add benefit from my PhD and Post Doc while also challenging me to expand and enhance my knowledge and experience.
cheers WCA
Out of interest, which company was this?
"i want to install a new culture into the workplace... something along the lines of boobs win prizes"
