Yeah, watched it. A bit drunk but still enjoyed it.
Quite a variety of guitar players featured 👍
Thanks op me and the boy enjoyed that.
After last week’s cracker I’m save this for this afternoon when I get back from riding in the rain/mud.
Was good, not sure as good as the d n b episodes but I still learned.
Not least how much of the iconic sounds we recognize and love aren't really guitar sounds but effects pedals.

It's electric guitar, so everything from the plectrum to the strings to the lead to the amp to the microphone recording it affects the sound. FX pedals are just part of it. Without stuff as simple as reverb you end up with quite a dead sound. It's a bit like cooking without herbs or spices. Acoustic guitars usually have so much more in their sound at source.
For me this was the middle one of the three shows. I loved the bass episode, was indifferent to the drums but this just covered stuff I already knew (admittedly in a great package) so didn't have the sort of previous one.
DISCLAIMER: I am a crap guitarist but have been for a very long time.
Did anybody else keep thinking of Bill Nighy in love actually all the way through?
While all you guitarists are in the same place! Love this 5 min masterclass from Nitin Sawhney also from the BBC.
Now I do and will never be able to unsee that. 🙂
Thanks for that ctk. In return i offer you this:
Nice to see a a mention (a tiny mention) of Paul Kossof.
Paul Kossoff - another great talent taken far too young. We shared a birthday, I was/am a big lover of Free.
