I knew muscles adapt very quicky to use or lack of use but didn't know bones did. The more I learn about the musculo-skeletal system the more amazing I find it.

It's already being said that children are developing enlarged flabby bladders with no muscle tone because they carry on texting and ignoring the bladder's signals and it just stretches instead.

Mobile phones to blame.

My initial reaction to this was "bollocks." Then I read the article.

...bone spurs caused by the forward tilt of the head, which shifts weight from the spine to the muscles at the back of the head, causing bone growth in the connecting tendons and ligaments.

Mobile phones aren't to blame. Mobile phone usage may be. I wonder if excessive readers are similarly susceptible?

They’re no danger. Current kids are shit and we can kill them with peanuts. Satan shall not prevail in this case.

They say smartphones and other handheld devices are contorting the human form, requiring users to bend their heads forward to make sense of what’s happening on the miniature screens.

Yes teenagers bending their heads forward never happened before now.

And I take it you also support the NRA in the premise that guns don't kill people people do.

Sure, that's a totally logical conclusion to draw.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/jun/21/are-young-people-growing-horns-because-of-mobile-phones-not-so-fast

Load of shit, says epidemiologist in article representing how science should be reported, not like it mostly is, pandering to sensationalism and clicks and thereby debasing knowledge, intellectual rigour, trust in science and population health.

Should have stuck with that. Dodgy Study, not peer reviewed, bad methodology etc.
