Been offered an original 2006 Omega Seamaster 41mm bezel for £1.5K. I know the seller defo not a back street knock off.
Needs servicing apart from that for 12 yrs it’s on good shape.
What would the massive suggest as a reasonable price. I’m thinking £1.1K maybe I’m well off. Thoughts ?
They come up cheaper than that on ebay. All about condition I suppose.

How much is a service ? If it's £200, £1,100 might be ok.
I paid £1400 for my seamaster Pro quite a few years ago, that seems over the top for me. Maybe join and ask here https://forums.watchuseek.com/forum.php
What model of Seamaster. Some are more desirable than others - the 2254.50 is the most sought after and 1.5K probably reasonable (although, I'd be negotiating around the service).
Over priced, I’ve taken advice from this site and very informative https://www.watchuseek.com/
I'd say you're well off.
Boxed and papers will fetch 7-800 at trade auction plus 27 odd % buyers premium, so your minimum is 1100 really. Im assuming youre talking automatic - the above link is for a quartz. Auto bond seamasters full size tend to go around £1600 plus on ebay with box and papers unserviced.
Service is £434 from omega if you include post both ways - comes back like new.
If you can pick it up for 1.1k youll get a bit of a bargain even if it actually needs a service to run, as youve got a watch you know the history of thats all correct with 2 years warranty and a full refurb. Around £2k in a shop window. If it was a mate id say £1250 ish would be a fair price, depends how much you like them !
If it is a quartz, id walk - theyre fetching silly money now id hold out for a decent auto if you really want one.
Thanks for the informative advice. I’ve decided to decline on this accession albeit acceptance is £1.2. If feel that I can get a more conditioned watch. This is testimony to the durability for sure. 12 ye old and still ticking. Under examination he has no provanonce eg box is there but nothing certificated, I know it’s original but can’t be chewed with the hassle of recertification plus I reckon I can (on a lucky day) get one cheaper.
Well done, buy after it has been serviced, guaranteed and take a timegrapher with you. It's a buyers market what ever you are told.
Superb choice and worth waiting for the right one to come along. I have a 2004 Seamaster and I think that iteration is the nicest of the Seamasters. After 15 years of near daily wear on all occasions it still looks great and I enjoy it very much. Worn a little less recently though due to a newly acquired Speedmaster!
Just had a look at a few sites to see what my Seamaster 300 midsize 2252.50.00 auto might be worth. Bought it 11 years ago in Geneva airport for about £900, seems it's worth a fair bit more now! If only I could find the box, which I know I've put somewhere safe.
If you have the ingredients we might make a cake too
Buy another bike instead !
Wtf! That earlier post was supposed to be a text to my mum! Total phone/busy Sainsbury's mix up! Oops. Mum's probably thinking 'wtf is a seamaster!'. Lol!
I was going to say, if you like the watch buy it and wear it, try not to worry too much about 'could I get a better deal'. And so on.
I was wondering if that was some odd response to my not being able to find the box!
Are you wearing the sexy red outfit, with the stockings??
Curses, also meant as a text to my mum...
Ignore...
