Bought a Olympus xD card, but need to activate panoramic mode (combine in camera)

Anyone know how to do it?

If you go into the main menu, it should be highlighted. I cant remember where it is in the menu, but its fairly obvious. It has to be an Olympus M/M+ Panorama card (not all Olympus cards do it) It will say on the packaging for the card if its Panorama enabled and it will state on the card if its M/M+ too.

Had a look, and a search online but can't find it in the menu.

Genuine 2gb xD M+ and labeled for Panorama

say [b]WHAT ???[/b] So they're charging extra for a card to allow in-camera stitching ? Talk about creative marketing! A card is a storage device - it doesn't care what the data is.

exactly, but there will be an identifier on the card which is unique to olympus, and effectively 'unlocks' the panorama function in the camera. as mentioned, great way of getting people to buy olympus branded cards...

they've been doing it for ages!

which I would boycott. I bet the stitcher is pants anyway!
