Here are mine.

Terrorism: Little chance, not because of security, more that there never was much of a threat to start with.

Weather: It will rain, lots, and there may be a few small flooding problems.

Traffic and logistics: Some problems, but nothing too disasterous, at least nothing that LOCOG will admit too...

Sport and medals: Yes there actually may be some among the missiles and ceremonies, but the UK will fall short of it's target.

Legacy: All those responsible for such a 'sucessful' games will be given some more gongs. As for the general public, they won't become more intersted in sport, and will soon forget about it as the smoke clears from the olympic flame, and the truth slowly dawns that... it really didn't make any difference. Chr*stm*s and the continuing economic woes will soon return to the centre stage.

I predict that as a result of Tony Blair taking a break from his busy role of bringing peace to the Middle East, and making obscene amounts of money from dodgy foreign governments and grateful right-wing American audiences, so that he can "advice on the Olympic legacy and in particular how to maximise both its economic and its sporting legacies", that the cheating lying fraudster will be back in the limelight causing me to feel nauseous every time I see the mass killer's guilt racked face.

I see it this way:

Terrorism: Nothing real will happen apart from sponsors terrorising local business and politicians enforcing PC.

Weather: It will rain and rain and rain ... there will be many flooding all over the country including Olympics venues. Hardly any sun.

Traffic and logistics: Major problem because of the weather and collective strikes.

Sport and medals: They will fall very short of their targets because they are all being hyped up recently. Normally, they are only good at one or two events consistently.

Legacy: The politicians will congratulate themselves and the sponsors for a job well done. They will receive their medals from the Queen and they will be addressed as "Sirs" and "Ladies". All you maggots will have to bow to them and thank them for their good fortune and a job well done. History will remember Olympic as a triumph of corporate sponsorships and a platform for more greed. When the dust settle with all the short term gain gone the real long term cost is apparent ... it's a net loss and a massive ones. Then everyone starts to blame each others ... as usual. Maggots.

I think that transport is going to be an almighty mess, that will embarrass the UK internationally. Given how badly it runs in normal times, when no-one gives a monkeys, with all the extra stresses I reckon it'll just stop completely for the month.

What a depressing existence you must lead!

I will bet you 50GBP that we win Gold in the Mens Triathlon. Assuming you think that the Brownlee brothers are 'hyped up'.

I predict a slew of equally dull trolling threads from the OP along the lines of "Aren't the Olympics terrible?" etc.

Bored now.

I bet you £200 they (Team GB) cannot win a Gold medal in Badminton or ping-pong.

And what do you expect the target is in Badminton or ping-pong? After all, that is the point you were making previously.

You could choose any country and find an event where they have shag-all chance of winning.

Personally, I would think there is an outside chance of a medal in the Badminton mixed doubles.
