I agree.

Oddly enough, I'm not that keen on olives or anchovies individually.

But together they are gooooood.

Pineapple and cheese on a stick stuck in a foil-covered orange anyone? How times have changed.

But yes, yum.

Love them both individually (to the extent I'd quite happily munch my way through anchovies straight out of the tin, and olives straight from the jar) but this is the first time I've tried them together.

Saw them on offer at Morrisons on Saturday, and got a few cans. Just finished one and considering opening another. The wife has gone to bed, and it feels like I'm doing something very wrong without actually opening up an 'incognito' browsing page. Cannot compute.

Anchovies are possibly my favourite sea food. I visited Coulliore where Matisse and Derain painted the fishing boats on the the shore. anchovies are still caught and processed there, you can get just about any combo you could dream of. No comparison to the tinned variety.

It's this sort of fishism that led to the second world war. Has history taught us nothing?

Might as well dip them in marmite, then you've got the holy trinity of evilness.
