Hoard them and get abuse off the girlfriend for doing so.

Hoard them

+1

You never know when the review of a fork that's been out of production for 10 years is going to come in handy and I hate reading my phone's screen while I'm sat on the loo.

Having said that the subscriber copies make finding anything a nightmare as you have to open each one rather than glance at the front.

Privateer and Singletrack are wasted on a dentists waiting room, btw.

Im holding on to them until they're worth a fortune.

Or you can make me an offer over £3k for No.s 10-63.

Late to the party there Stoner, think I did have 3 onwards, although I only keep the latest couple now, as they take up too much space!

I've got Issue 1 somewhere.
Keeping it pristine till I can auction it off at Sotheby's.

(tho if anyone here want a big stack of mags, including issue 1, then shout out!)

Issue 1 still here. I think all the others too 🙁
Memories of touting the magazine round various LBS in Edinburgh at launch time ..

Given the subject matter of the mags, OP, surely doctors would have been better place for them? 🙂

+1 hoarding.
Pension scheme. Undermined by the advent of tablet computing.

I had 1-55 in mainly subs, which no one wanted. I couldn't bin them so gave them back to singletrack to deal with!

Or possibly golf clubs and Audi dealerships?

They'd end up in both those places if you gave them to the doctors surely? ( 🙂 as neither of these slanders apply to my own GPs.. )

If there was ever a statement looking to be a euphemism, surely this is it!

I have all of them. Just like the format, was intending to keep them all neat and ordered in the bookcase, but as it seems is the common fate, they are all in a big box by the bog.

Until recently, I had every issue - I was one of the original "five issues for a tenner" subscribers.

A year or so ago, I sent a couple of early issues back to Singletrack after they asked for copies for scanning for the Mag Archive. If you look at issues 5 or (I think) 14 online, they're mine.

Once I didn't have the full set, I used some to make a collage postcard for my SSUK entry and then recycled most of the rest.

I still have issues 1 to 4 though, so if anyone wants to make me an offer... 🙂

" they are all in a big box by the bog."

I tried that too, but found the paper a bit smeary. Privateer was much better in that regard.

I have issue one and the last 10-12 issues. Binned the rest when I moved house but decided to keep issue one just in case in might be worth something in the future.

Is The Ride worth anything then? I have issues 1-4, 2 of them unread upstairs. Since I retired have less time for reading....
